Mercan Koleji, with its rooted experience of over a quarter century in the education sector, is an educational institution that has made it a principle to prepare its students not only for academic success, but also for life.
As an institution with over a quarter of a century in the education sector, we have adopted development and change as our principle since our establishment. We provided an educational environment that enabled our students to utilize their personal potential and abilities to the fullest.

At Mercan Koleji, with international Baccalaureate programs; we aim to raise young people who possess the values of being inquiring, thinking, communicative, courageous, knowledgeable, principled, open-minded, balanced, and reflective, who know how to access information, use technology as a tool, and continuously improve themselves, and who are globally-minded with high national consciousness.

The Primary Years Programme (PYP) at Mercan Koleji is a program and curriculum framework that allows children between the ages of 3-12 to benefit from meaningful and inquiry-based learning. The PYP is based on a constructivist approach. One of the main goals of the constructivist approach is to enable students to take the initiative in their own learning processes, making them independent learners.

The Middle Years Programme (MYP) is designed for students aged 10-16 and covers grades 5-10. This program provides a learning framework that encourages students to become creative, critical, and reflective thinkers. The MYP emphasizes intellectual development and enables students to make connections between subjects and the real world.

Mercan Koleji has harmonized these international programs with its own philosophy, which is based on the understanding of "learning to learn," and has successfully combined them with the National Education Curriculum to provide better education and raise more conscious individuals.
